How long does the effect of fogging last?
Fogging knocks down adult mosquitoes present at the time of treatment. It does not prevent new mosquitoes from entering the area from breeding sources. Effect lasts 3-7 days; repeat visits are needed if breeding sources (standing water) have not been eliminated.
Is fogging safe for children, pets and plants?
Children and pets should vacate the area during fogging and for 30-45 minutes after. Plants are not harmed by the pyrethroid formulations we use. Aquariums should be covered and air pumps turned off during treatment.
Can I request fogging just before a party or outdoor event?
Yes - we handle event fogging specifically. We recommend scheduling 2-3 hours before the event start time for the fog to disperse and the knockdown effect to be in full effect.
Do you also treat the breeding sources (water containers, pots, drains)?
Fogging treats adult mosquitoes. Breeding source treatment (larviciding in drains and water containers) is a separate service. We can advise on both during the visit.
